Who adapts to whom?

Today I have learned that what we often do is try not to adapt to certain kinds of people in our lives as much as they feel the need to adapt to our lifestyles. I learned that by what we do unto others will in fact be returned to us in the same behavior as we give it. My question is when will we break away from those invisible chains that keep us from seeing life as beauty and all the differences among us as treasures like gold.

We rely mostly on how we are tought to live our lives, by this I mean that we are living our lives through the eyes of our teachers. By teachers I mean our parents, brothers, close family relatives, friends and our society. They teach us on ways to see life and only accept things that they see as important; more realistic than what learn ourselves. They do teach us valuable things that are benefiting in our lives already, and I believe that they are the ones we should treasure the most.

To break away from the negatives means that you should make a change that everyone will acknowledge. To be the only one in your family attending varsity is also breaking away the point that says that one cannot make it in life and therefore you inspire other people to do the same and break the chains to the negatives we hold on to.
